Recently on March 1, JEE Mains 2022 Exam Pattern and marking scheme is revised by National Test Agency(NTA).
JEE Main 2022 Exam Pattern consists of the exam duration, numbers of questions asked, maximum marks, negative marking, etc. where no new changes have been made to the JEE Main Exam Pattern 2022 whereas the marking scheme has been revised.
As per the new exam pattern of JEE Main 2022, questions with numerical value answers will also have a negative marking. In both sections, 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

JEE Mains 2022 Exam Pattern
JEE Mains have two papers Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E/B. Tech) at NITs, IIITs, and any other government-funded engineering and technical institution/Universities. It is also an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to IITs. Paper 2 is conducted for admission to B. Arch and B. Planning courses in the Country.

Mode of Examination – CBT Mode (Computer Based Test)
Paper 1 will consist of a total of 90 questions (75 questions mandatory) which carry 4 marks each and for every incorrect answer 1 mark will be deducted and for unattempted questions, no mark will be deducted.
In Section A, 20 MCQs will be asked and all questions must be answered and Section B will contain Questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value. In Section B, candidates have to attempt any 05 questions out of 10.

Medium of Question Paper – As per the new education policy, the number of regional languages in which candidates can take the exam has been increased, and now the total number of available languages is 13 Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, English, and Gujarati.
JEE Mains Exam 2022 Marking Scheme
For every correct answer, +4 marks will be awarded and for every incorrect answer 1 mark will be deducted and for unattempted questions, no marks will be deducted. this marking scheme is for both papers.
